Have you really counted the cost of what it might cost you to be a real disciple of JESUS CHRIST?”
Count the cost, because it will cost you more than you think it will.
Brothers and sisters, It cost the disciples everything, it cost the prophets of GOD everything, it cost JESUS everything, it cost the apostles everything, and it’s going to cost us everything to become true disciples of JESUS CHRIST!
Many people can give up some things, but not many people can give up everything they love, and hope for in life, that they might have real life in CHRIST JESUS!
Not many people can give up simple things like material possessions, money, homes, cars, and prosperity, so how can you sacrifice an offering you did not desire, a body that is prepared for GOD, if you cannot give up such carnal simple things concerning life?
Can you give GOD your entire life? Can you give GOD everything?
Many people have family, wives, husbands, and children they love more than life, and they know family is a blessing from GOD, but can you forsake everything to become JESUS disciples, and to fulfill the high calling of GOD in your life, that the plans and purposes of GOD might be accomplished in the world?
Can you count the cost of what it really cost to become JESUS disciples?
Can you even imagine GOD asking you to give up everything to fulfill a greater purpose in the earth, that the kingdom of GOD might be seen and experienced through you, because you have also sacrificed an offering you did not desire, but a body that is prepared for GOD?
Can you imagine yourself and your wife being 90 years old with no children, but GOD blesses you with a promised child in your old age, and then GOD asks you to sacrifice the miracle, the promise, and the hope, that GOD himself has given you?
Imagine that?
HAVE YOU REALLY COUNTED THE COST OF WHAT IT MIGHT COST YOU TO BE A REAL DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST?
(Genesis 22:1-13) And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
And he said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide you here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son.
And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
And Abraham said, My son, GOD will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
And they came to the place which GOD had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And he said, Lay not your hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that you fear GOD, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son from me.
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
(Luke 14:27-33) And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and COUNTS THE COST, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Lest haply, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sits not down first, and COUNTS THE COST whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand?
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an ambassadors, and desires conditions of peace.
SO LIKEWISE, WHOSOEVER HE BE OF YOU THAT DOES NOT FORSAKE ALL THAT HE HAS, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.
(Matthew 10:34-39) JESUS SAYS, Do not think that I am come to send peace on earth: I did not come to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man’s enemies shall be they of his own household.
He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And he that does not take up his cross, and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
He that finds his life shall lose his life: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find life.
(Luke 18:18-30) JESUS SAYS, And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
And JESUS said unto him, Why do you call me good? None is good, save one, that is, GOD.
You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour your father and your mother.
And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Now when JESUS heard these things, he said unto him, Yet you lack one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when JESUS saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of GOD!
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of GOD.
And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed you. And JESUS said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
I don’t think many people actually count the cost of what it really cost for them to be true disciples of JESUS CHRIST!~
IT WILL COST YOU EVERYTHING, YOUR WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!~
AND NOT MANY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO GIVE UP THE COMFORTS OF WHAT THEY THINK THE GOOD LIFE IS, FOR A REAL SPIRITUAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS!~
(LUKE 14:33) JESUS SAYS, SO LIKEWISE, WHOSOEVER HE BE OF YOU THAT DOES NOT FORSAKE ALL THAT HE HAS, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.
