(Acts 2:29-31) Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.
Therefore being a “PROPHET”, and knowing that GOD had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Brothers and sisters, King David was GOD’S prophet, priest, and GOD’S chosen anointed king, yet King David was a murderer, a deceiver, and an adulterer, but he was still GOD’S anointed king, because he knew the revelation knowledge of GOD in CHRIST JESUS, And that alone made him a man after GOD’S own heart.
And King David even prophesied CHRIST JESUS before CHRIST JESUS appeared as GOD in the flesh!
Brothers and sisters, King David was not perfect, he was full of imperfections, but neither his weaknesses nor his imperfections could not stop him from being GOD’S chosen anointed prophet, priest, and King!
Brothers and sisters, the life of King David goes totally against what we think a real man or woman of GOD should be, and if King David was alive today, and he was GOD’S chosen anointed King, then many of you self-righteous Christian hypocrites would judge GOD’S anointed King, condemn GOD’S anointed King, persecute GOD’S anointed King, and even try to take King David off the throne, because you think the righteousness of GOD has to do with you being perfectly right!……………lol~
People, King David was not perfect, but his heart was, his heart was perfect towards GOD, even though King David was a murderer, a deceiver, and an adulterer, King David had all the attributes of GOD!
King David was a very merciful man, a very forgiving man, a very long suffering man, and a faithful man, and his faith had nothing to do with his failures, his faith and his faithfulness had to do with the revelation knowledge of GOD he had of CHRIST JESUS, and his personal relationship he had with GOD through the revelation knowledge of JESUS CHRIST!
Brothers and sisters, King David is most often thought of as a king, a courageous King, and brilliant military man.
But David was also a musician, a poet, and a composer, and David played the harp and composed numerous psalms.
People, King David was more than just a prophet, priest, and GOD’S chosen anointed King, King David was a man after GOD’S own heart!
David’s psalms were more than just common songs, they were always worship to The Lord, but sometimes also very prophetic, prophesying the coming of the Messiah JESUS CHRIST!
(PSALMS 22:1-19) My GOD, my GOD, why have you forsaken me? why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
O my GOD, I cry in the day time, but You hear not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
But You are holy, O you that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you did deliver them.
They cried unto you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and were not confounded.
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
But you are he that took me out of the womb: you did make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.
I was cast upon you from the womb: you are my GOD from my mother’s belly.
Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; and you have brought me into the dust of death.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
But be not you far from me, O Lord: O my strength, hasten you to help me.
(PSALMS 2:7-9) I will declare the decree: the Lord has said unto me, you art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
(PSALMS 41:9) Yes, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
(PSALMS 110:1) The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit you at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.
(Psalm 45:6-7) Your throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
You love righteousness, and hates wickedness: therefore GOD, your GOD, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
Brothers and sisters, can you imagine King David seeing all the things he saw concerning JESUS CHRIST?
Can you imagine what he must have seen in the spirit?
Can you imagine what GOD must have thought about this anointed King who was also was a murderer, a deceiver, and an adulterer?
Brothers and sisters, maybe you cannot imagine it, because you’re too religious, self-righteous, and hypocritical, to even see or imagine the real King David!
But I can see King David, and I can imagine King David, because I am also flawed, I am also damaged goods, an ex-drug dealer, gangster disciple, whore monger, 4 time felon, I have been to jail for murder, and I have been to the penitentiary 3 different times in my life, so I can see King David in me!~
But what I love most about King David is this, King David was GOD’S chosen anointed King, and GOD said King David is a man after my own heart!
And no matter what the people thought about King David, how much they didn’t like King David, and how they tried to judge the life of King David, he was still GOD’S chosen anointed King!
And the people could not take the kingdom away from king David or take him off the throne, because GOD placed him there, for he was a man after GOD’S own heart, and he was GOD’S chosen anointed king!~
