Poetry from the heart, the words of a complicated poet.
The reason I walk alone is to protect you from yourself.
I know you want to be close to me, but it’s not safe for me to be around anyone else.
For I consider you my friend, I want to stay where truth begin, and never see it’s end.
I want to see you as a close friend, and watch you make it through this.
I don’t want to see my friend become my enemy, and watch you become my Judas.
I don’t want truth to divide us, like it separates truth from lies.
I don’t want to have to look into your face, and see betrayal living within your eyes.
I don’t want your words to betray you, and make you tell the truth while you living a lie.
I don’t want you to look into my face, and see a grown man cry.
Because you betrayed me.
So I walk alone………..
A psalm of poetry from the heart, the words of a complicated poet, by Reese Kemp..
(Zechariah 13:4-6) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he has prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive: But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in your hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
