Love is the fulfillment of the law, and JESUS fulfilled the law of GOD with love.
For that was the ultimate act of love, when GOD GAVE the world his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
That was the ultimate act of love when GOD took upon HIMSELF the form of man, “Who, being in the form of GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore GOD also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of JESUS every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father.”
(Philippians 2:5-8) “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
That was the ultimate act of love when GOD manifested HIMSELF in the flesh, and took on the form of man, to experience life from man’s point of view, so man could not say, “GOD does not know my struggles, my pain, or my plight.”
(1 Timothy 3:16) “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
That was the ultimate act of love when almighty GOD made a choice to lay himself upon a piece of wood, be beaten, spit upon, ridiculed, judged, and condemned, by the same people HE created in HIS own image, and for HIS own glory…….
(John 3:16-21) JESUS SAYS, For GOD so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in JESUS should not perish, but have everlasting life. For GOD sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through JESUS might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
Again I say, “Where is your love? And has your love fulfilled the law of GOD, or are you still trying to fulfill the law, by your own worthless works of self righteousness?”
(Matthew 5:17-18) JESUS SAYS, Do not Think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to FULFILL. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be FULFILLED.”
(Galatians 6:1-2) “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so FULFILL the law of CHRIST.”
(Galatians 5:14) “For all the law is FULFILLED in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
“Now where is your love? And has your love fulfilled the law of GOD, or are you still trying to fulfill the law, by your worthless works of self righteousness?”
(Romans 10:2-4) “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes.”
