Disappointments will come to us all, people will disappoint you, you will even be a disappointment to people from time to time, and you will surely fail, but after you fail, after people disappoint you, and after you have been a disappointment to people, then what?
Can you forgive like JESUS forgives?
Can you live like JESUS lived?
Can you die to yourself? Can you live for truth?
Can you dust yourself off and get back in the race again?
Now what?
(Luke 16:9) JESUS SAYS, And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
(Proverbs 24:16-18) For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
Brothers and sisters, JESUS is the greatest man who ever lived, there ever was, and ever will be, but the truth of the matter is this, JESUS was a disappointment to many people, because JESUS was not the man many people thought he would be or should be!
Many people thought JESUS would come as some great king on a white horse with a doubled edged sword, which would deliver them from the hands of all their enemies!
But JESUS came as the son of man, a suffering servant, a man who made himself of no reputation, and a man who took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Brothers and sisters, many people were disappointed at JESUS when it seemed like JESUS failed them, for many people were with JESUS when he was doing miracles, signs, wonders, and healing many people, but everyone forsook JESUS when he was found guilty, when he was persecuted, and he was crucified.
But what seemed like a total failure became total success, and what seemed like a great disappointment became our great salvation!
And even on the cross suffering the penalty of death JESUS said, “Forgive them father, for they know not what they do!”~
Brothers and sisters, Even Peter disappointed JESUS many times, and many times JESUS forgave Peter for his many disappointments!
JESUS forgave Peter when he tried to stop him from doing the will of GOD, JESUS forgave Peter when denied him 3 different times, and JESUS forgave Peter when he went back fishing for fish after JESUS told him from now on you will fish for men!
Brothers and sisters, disappointments will come to us all, people will disappoint you, you will even be a disappointment to people from time to time, and you will surely fail, but after you fail, after people disappoint you, and after you have been a disappointment to people, then what?

“Now what?”
(Luke 17:3-4) JESUS SAYS, Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.
(Mark 11:25-26) JESUS SAYS, And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
