(Proverbs 8:17) “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
The connection that keeps me connected to JESUS is my love for truth, and my love for truth keeps me connected to HIS love, HIS way, HIS truth, HIS grace, and HIS mercy, and it causes me to keep HIS word, because I love TRUTH.
For LOVE is just a word. But what matters is the connection the word implies. Now many people say they are in love, and they claim to love, but can you tell me what you would give to hold on to that connection?
(Luke 14:26-27,) JESUS SAYS, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever does not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
(Luke 14:33) JESUS SAYS, So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”
For JESUS tells us what real love is, JESUS also explains true love in vivid detail, and JESUS also draws a line in the sand when it comes to real love.
(John 14:23-24) “JESUS SAYS, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our home with him. He that does not love me does not keep my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”
Brothers and sisters, JESUS himself says, ” If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our HOME with him.”
Now I don’t know about you, but I want GOD and JESUS to come unto me, and make HIS home in me.
The love connection!
(John 15:1-10) JESUS SAYS, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love. If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”
